Our Story
In 1998, the Krieger family acquired a listed building on Erwin-Krieger-Straße and opened the Winchelsea Inn with just eight rooms. From the very beginning, the focus was on personal service and regional hospitality.
The first major renovation followed in 2005: a conservatory and a small wellness area were created. Guest numbers doubled within two years, and the house received its first award for sustainable tourism.
In 2019, the concept was realigned – modern rooms, a coworking space, and a regional restaurant were added. Today, the Winchelsea Inn is one of the most popular accommodations in the region and employs over 40 staff members.
